The Yiddish Artists and Friends Actors
Club is presenting a nostalgic, song filled evening "Catskill Musical
Memories" a Yiddish-American klezmer musical comedy.
The concert will be a salute to the Borsht
Belt era,a time when thousands of Jews spent their summer vacations in
the hotels, bungalow colonies, summer camps and "kochaleyns" in
upstate New York.
Starring the Catskills first lady
of song Joanne Engel,"Emmy" award winning comedy-emcee Fyvush
Finkel and the Howard Leshaw Klezmer Orchestra, the evening will be a typical
Catskill type show as was performed in the hotel theaters and "casinos"
as they were called years ago.

at 8 PM at the Sutton Place Synagogue 225 East 51st Street, NYC. Tickets
are $25. For more information call Ruth at (516) 569-1678 or email
