CURIOUS FROG THEATRE COMPANY
COLLABORATES WITH OPERA SINGERS INITIATIVE
TO PRESENT SPRING PREVIEW SALON
NEW YORK, NY—February 26, 2009—Curious Frog Theatre Company and Opera
Singers Initiative will present a Spring Preview Salon on Thursday, March
19th at NY
Studio Gallery in
Manhattan from 7-10pm. Curious Frog will preview its two upcoming productions,
a choreographer will preview an upcoming modern dance piece, and five emerging
opera singers and musicians will perform courtesy of OSI. Tickets are $35

The Spring Salon Preview will give arts patrons and media a chance to meet
and see a wide range of rising talent, as well as the leadership of Curious
Frog and OSI. Guests will enjoy wine and food as they preview Curious Frog’s
spring production of Sam Shepard’s True West, running in May at
a found space in Manhattan and featuring an Asian-American cast that includes
Curious Frog’s newest company member, Alvin
Chan .
Curious Frog will also preview its fall Shakespeare production, Romeo
and Juliet, which will tour NYC parks. OSI’s coordinated artists will
perform art songs, arias, and an opera scene, as well as recitals from
cellist Saeunn
Thorsteinsdottir and
flutist Jeremiah
Duarte Bills ,
all with upcoming performances.
“Opera Singers Initiative is looking forward to this exciting meeting
of artists, collaborators, and supporters in our first Spring Preview Salon,"
